Here's the whole family (even though there would eventually be 12 kids): my great-great grandparents Michael and Mary and their children Anna, John (born in Dec. 1899), Charlie, and baby Emil. My grandpa was close with his uncle Emil and knew he was born in 1908. I forgot this was from when the family was finally together in Chicago as Michael arrived two years earlier. They were immigrants from the Czech town of Oderberg - BohumÃn.

This was one of those rare times when I saw a photo op and I was able to actually capture it:) I was so happy when I got the canoe as it past through the setting sunlight on the water. Taken at Lily Lake in NS. Highest Explore position: 431 on Saturday, September 8, 2007
